Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

As I’m sure many people have, I’ve spent the last few days in reflection of 2016.

I sat down, with pen in hand, and answered questions like, “What changed for me in 2016? What did I discover about myself? When did fear hold me back? When did I practice bravery? How did I celebrate my accomplishments? How did I deal with challenges? What conclusions did I reach in 2016?”

The more I wrote, the more I realized how much happened in me and through me last year.

In 2016, I finished mentoring my first squad of 36 and began mentoring another squad of 46. I traveled to 5 countries where I debriefed them, worshipped with them, taught them, cried with them, ministered alongside them and celebrated with them.

And as I was pouring out, I was also being poured into. I was challenged by my mentors and friends to risk more, to create healthy rhythms, to discover more of who I am, to find healing in areas I had previously walled off and to live outside my limited understanding of who God is and what He can do.

It was a heck of a year.

Seeds were planted in me. I planted seeds in the 82 people I mentored. They planted seeds throughout the countries they visited while on the World Race. It was a beautiful thing.

What’s even more beautiful is that I am a very small piece of the Kingdom movement that is happening through Adventures in Missions.

Do yourself a favor and take 2 minutes to watch this video and see what you could be partnering in by supporting Adventures.

I think Seth, the CEO and Founder, summed it up well when he said, “This is what we do. We bring hope like this around the world-to refugees and to hopeless people wherever the Gospel is needed.”

In 2017, I’ll keep doing whatever I can to spread the Gospel through this ministry, and I’d invite you to do the same.

I raise $12,000 a year for Adventures.

I’ve currently raised 15.5% of my goal.
